Riveting

RIVKLE®

Resilient threads on thin-walled components. With RIVKLE® blind rivet nuts and studs for sheets and plastics.

For load-bearing threads

RIVKLE® blind rivet nuts and studs reliably join thin-walled components.

Highly resilient. RIVKLE® creates load-bearing nut and bolt threads on thin walls where cut threads are unsuitable. A range of models and sizes provides the perfect solution for every application.

Method / principle

RIVKLE® blind rivet nut and studs are mounted without counter pressure ("blindly") and can therefore also be set at hollow sections.

A perfect fastening solution for composite and lightweight design.

Applications

RIVKLE® blind rivet nuts and studs are hugely versatile. They are used, for example, in the automotive industry, in plastics engineering, medical technology and electronics.

Product benefits
  • Load-bearing thread on thin-walled components
  • Assembly with access from only one side (blind assembly)
  • Flexible use in every stage of production
  • No thermal stress to workpiece

Product benefits

Strength and options.
Point by point.

Faster setting

Less time, lower costs. RIVKLE® blind rivet nuts and studs are the economic joint solutions for thin-walled components.

One-side assembly

Simple blind assembly. Often the only solution for hollow bodies, housing or components with limited access just from one side.

Highly versatile

Perfect for every stage of production. No reworking required after insertion, even with already coated or painted parts.

No thermal stress

Unlike with weld nuts, the workpiece is not impaired by heat.

Detailed description

Rivet instead of weld

RIVKLE® blind rivet nuts and studs offer versatile solutions for fastening resilient nut/bolt threads to thin-walled components. They are very easy to process in all metal materials, plastics and even in ceramic components. The process is particularly safe since neither harmful steam or gases emit nor does a risk of burning exist.

Materials

RIVKLE® blind rivet nuts are made of steel, stainless steel or aluminium.
The materials we use offer excellent plasticity in the compression zone – with optimal resistance to twisting. RIVKLE® types, made from standard stainless steel, use A1 or A2 austenitic steel with 18% chromium and 10% nickel.

Benefits of the materials

  • Steel: our standard
  • Aluminium: lightweight, corrosion-resistant
  • Stainless steel: resistant to corrosion and temperature

RIVKLE® Standard

Our wide range of products includes various head shapes, shank ends and shank shapes.

More

RIVKLE® stainless steel

Besides steel and aluminium, our range also includes stainless steel blind rivet nuts.

More

RIVKLE® SFC

RIVKLE® SFC, Smart For Composite, has been developed to insert a resistant thread in plastics and composite materials, without damaging it.

More

RIVKLE® Sealcote

Our blind rivet nuts with low-head seal feature reliable fluid-tightness (seawater proof) and gas-tightness.
RIVKLE® Sealcote is available in all RIVKLE® models.

More

RIVKLE® HRT

Our high-strength RIVKLE® HRT (High Resistance Thread) blind rivet nuts provide an extremely strong load-bearing thread which considerably improves the mechanical properties of the blind rivet nut.

More

RIVKLE® PN with slotted shank

RIVKLE® PN blind rivet nuts have been especially designed for installation in thin-walled plastic components, sheet metals and hollow sections requiring high pull-out strengths. The slotted shank splays out into four "petals" on the blind side of the base material.

More

RIVKLE® blind rivet studs

RIVKLE® blind rivet studs allow the screw-on component to be prefixed to the carrier component. This is particularly helpful for heavy or large parts or with concealed assembly (“hang on” assembly).
