Lawn mowing made easy: As early as 20 years ago, Husqvarna's engineers revolutionised lawn care with the Automower® robotic mower.
Within the further development of the Automower®, extensive tests were carried out under very difficult conditions. The functionality was proven by the cutting on soiled grass or the using of special Arizona Road Dust (standardised test dust in order to determine the leak tightness of different housings). The noise emissions were also carefully monitored. Additional crash tests guarantee the products’ longevity. So without any doubt, the fasteners were scrutinised as well. They had to be reliable, noise‑reducing and invisible.

Husqvarna left nothing to chance. For over a year, they conducted tests until the best possible solution was found: SNAPLOC® – reliable and durable, even under extreme conditions. Moreover, the plug‑in connection is invisible from the outside and satisfies the highest design criteria.
The solution in detail: SNAPLOC® couplings (ball diameter 10 mm) are fastened on four points of the 50 cm x 50 cm Automower® housing.
The simple assembly and disassembly of the SNAPLOC® studs and couplings optimises production processes. The housing is easy to attach. Since the SNAPLOC® system cannot be seen on the robotic mowers’ surface, the required attractive design is given. The system's vibration and noise‑decoupling function also contributes significantly to the low noise emission. Due to positive experiences, the future use of SNAPLOC® ball studs and couplings for the intended new Automower® generation is also guaranteed.
