Expansion of production capacities in China – Groundbreaking ceremony on 24 June 2022
In Wuxi, China, construction work has begun on what is now the fifth expansion stage of the Böllhoff site.

During the 11-months construction period, almost 12,000 m² of building space will be added for our thread technology division – the equivalent of around 1.7 football pitches.
New building combines higher production capacities and sustainability
The modern building complex will house production, offices and a new canteen for the approx. 300 employees on site. Sustainability was a key factor in the planning of the new building. Therefore, the complex will be heated using heat pumps. An expandable photovoltaic system with an output of up to 1.3 MWp will supply part of the energy needed on site. In addition to that, the thermal energy generated during production will be reused for the canteen’s floor heating system and the canteen roof will be turned into a green roof.
