When every gram and every detail matters

The EFORCE Prague Formula team has long been developing and building race cars for international Formula Student competitions. For the 2026 season, it has created a new autonomous electric single-seater, the CTU.26, which is 10 kilograms lighter than the previous model. The car’s development also brought about design changes and optimizations in the areas of aerodynamics and materials used. Therefore, precision, reliability, and careful handling of structural materials are essential when working with composite parts and assembling individual components.

Solution

Precision work with composite parts

ONSERT® UV Hand Lamp in a Lightweight Design

ONSERT® UV handlamp technology was used in the production of selected parts of the vehicle. In the field of carbon composites and lightweight construction, it is not only the functionality of the joining solution that is important, but also the suitability of the process for sensitive materials and demanding design requirements. ONSERT® technology thus supported precise, fast, and gentle work with the vehicle’s composite parts.

RIVKLE® NEO B109 for efficient assembly operations

Another technology used was the RIVKLE® NEO B109 battery-powered rivet gun, which supported assembly operations on car components. Its main advantages are mobility, ease of use, and efficient operation in situations where components need to be joined quickly, precisely, and reliably. This is particularly important during the development and ongoing optimization of a racing single-seater.

Collaboration and Results

Technology as Part of the Journey to the 2026 Season

Supporting Young Engineers with an International Reach

The collaboration with EFORCE Prague Formula demonstrates that Böllhoff technologies have a place not only in mass industrial production but also in the development of prototype and race cars. The team unveiled its new CTU.26 single-seater in May 2026 at the Prague Planetarium and plans to compete with it throughout the season at the FS Czech race in Most, the FS Spain race in Barcelona, the FS Germany race at the Hockenheimring, and the FSAE Italy race in Varano de’ Melegari. For Böllhoff, this collaboration represents both a technical benefit and support for future experts who combine technical knowledge, innovation, and practical experience in a real-world project.
