| Training at the Böllhoff Training Centre The thoroughly modern training centre is technologically well equipped, and fulfils all the conditions that are necessary for a successful professional training in metalwork. Three master craftsmen are full time employed in supervise after our technical trainees. The results of our high quality training show in the three first places (for the whole of the Federal State) that our trainees achieved in the final professional examination. |
| Sequence of training On the workbenches of the training centre our new trainees can learn the first steps of metal processing. In the further course of training they will become familiar with ways of working with drilling, turning, milling and grinding machines. The metalwork training also includes a special emphasis on fastening technology. Here you will be introduced both to reversible techniques like screwing and pinning and to irreversible ones, such as soldering and the various forms of welding (gas, inert gas and electric welding), as well as riveting and cementing, and acquire the relevant skills as part of the course. The basic training course involves recurrent exercises in which our trainees can themselves work out the information that will be required for subsequent working responsibilities, so that they will learn how in future to carry out, monitor and evaluate their work independently even under changing conditions. In this way we enable them to become capable of acting on their own responsibility. | |
The basic training course is followed by training in specific subject areas. Special features of this are the following:

| The last weeks of the training will again be spent by our trainees at the training centre. Here they can concentrate on preparing for the technicians’ examination. If any gaps in their training become apparent at this stage, these can be closed up by practising exercises drawn from the final examinations of previous years, so that every individual trainee will be well prepared for the exam. As an additional help for our trainees, during the training course the individual’s degree of progress will be tested on the basis of intermediate examinations and manual training, so that both the instructors and the trainees themselves can form a judgment of their capacity and correct any defective areas that come to light. | |
| Dual training A professional training that only imparts skills would be unthinkable. The task of the professional school is to communicate the associated knowledge of theoretical matters. This division of responsibilities is known as a dual training. It has proved highly effective right up to the present day. | |
| Company training week We support you in your training in a way that goes beyond the mere acquisition of professional skills. In their first year of training all trainees, coming from all the various areas and branches of the company, come together for a seminar that lasts for one week. During the day we will discuss your interests and preferences, and consider how you can successfully realise these in the company community. And you’ll still have time over in the evening to get up to something... |
