RIVNUT® blind rivet nuts and RIVSTUD® blind rivet studs are the most versatile solution for fastening high-strength nut or bolt threads to components when tapped threads are not possible due to small wall thicknesses.
Characteristics
For internal and external threads of components with small wall thicknesses, Böllhoff offers RIVNUT® blind rivet nuts and RIVSTUD® blind rivet studs. These elements are mounted without counter pressure ("blindly") and can therefore also be set at hollow sections.
RIVNUT® blind rivet nuts and RIVSTUD® blind rivet studs are available in many variations and sizes and therefore offer numerous fastening solutions with additional functions.
Technology
RIVNUT® blind rivet nuts and RIVSTUD® blind rivet studs can easily be used in metal or plastic components as well as in many other material combinations.
Often for hollow bodies, profiles, housings or components with one-sided accessibility, the economical setting of the blind rivet nut and RIVSTUD® blind rivet stud is the only possible solution.

RIVNUT® sealcote provides a stable thread on thin-walled components, also in case of one-sided accessibility. The specific detail is an additional underhead sealant which seals liquids (saltwater resistant) and gases reliably.

RIVNUT® HRT (High Resistance Thread) is available in steel or aluminium. High-strength blind rivet nuts ensure a stable thread which considerably improves the mechanical features of the blind rivet nut.

RIVNUT® PN has been specially designed for integration into plastic parts, hollow sections or sheet metals requiring high ultimate thread strengths. The slotted shank splays out into four "petals" on the blind side of the base material providing a large bearing surface and maximum ultimate thread strength.
