Böllhoff reduces CO2 emissions through sustainable waste management
Böllhoff's strategy of sustainable waste management has resulted in annual savings of 734 t of CO2, the equivalent of driving 2,356,446 miles in a car.
This was the finding of private waste management company SITA from an assessment of emission levels, based on the waste fractions and volumes taken into account in its CO2 analysis.
The values relate to the reference year 1990 (Kyoto agreement).
The SITA CO2 scan was carried out for the following Böllhoff companies in Germany:
- Böllhoff GmbH (saving: 209 t CO2 per year)
- Böllhoff Produktion GmbH (saving: 413 t CO2 per year)
- Böllhoff Automation GmbH (saving: 27 t CO2 per year)
- Böllhoff Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG (saving: 85 t CO2 per year)
