Setting stroke and setting force sensors ensure secure control of the riveting. The EPK C is used wherever special quality standards have to be fulfilled. With the new installation tool Böllhoff has underlined its leading position in the sector of future-oriented riveting technology.

Böllhoff has for many years offered an extensive range of products and systems for blind rivet nuts and studs under the name RIVKLE®. The connection elements are fitted "blind", i.e. on parts that are accessible from one side, and are used wherever thin wall thicknesses make cut threads impossible, or the building component stability is insufficient. The technology is in demand above all in automobile construction, but also in the domestic appliance industry. Böllhoff regards itself traditionally as a branch-oriented complete solution-provider with all-round competence from rivets to the complete assembly system.

One expression of this proven expertise is the new RIVKLE® installation tool EPK C, a further development of the tested EPK installation tool. The pressure-regulated power-monitored tool is characterised in particular by 100% quality monitoring: each correctly carried out setting process is confirmed on the touch screen with "RIVKLE riveting i.o.". If this is not the case, fault messages are also displayed in clear text as well ("Not i.o.") and corresponding fault acknowledgements are prompted. Component supply and the disposal of incorrectly riveted parts are also checked by sensors.

The EPK C is designed with a cycle time of 20 pieces/minute for use in large series with compliance with high quality standards. With safety components, such as roof rack systems, brake components or front spoilers, the EPK C can be extended by computer-supported documentation.

The new installation tool from Böllhoff can be supplied optionally with two setting head types: as a pistol version or as a rod version. The EPK C can be integrated without problems in the workplace and is easy to handle (single-button operation).
